Pope Wants Input

So the Pope, leader of millions of Catholics around the world, needs INPUT as to the issues of gays, marriage and divorce? What, are the bishops to now come to a new, more modern understanding and consensus, and thus then rule via popular vote what is right and wrong concerning such things? I guess God's word is somehow lacking? Whatever, I smell some more as well as NEW heresies getting ready to be taught under the guise of "Papal Infailability." Of course, when you believe that you have the right to "bind on earth" whatever you THINK is right - as opposed to what Scripture clearly tells us about an issue - well, I guess it's just more of the same papal and Catholic nonsense to be newly thrust upon the masses.

""You have to say what you feel the Lord tells you to say, without concerns of human respect and without fear," (Pope Francis) You mean, as opposed to what God's word ALREADY says?

"... the Vatican is restricting public information about what is said behind closed doors during the synod ..." Wonder why?

If the Pope truly wants input from the "sheep" he is supposed to Sheppard, that is fine.
What he DOES with that input, is another story.
We shouldn't be surprised that the leader of a Christian denomination may decide to ask for input on doctrines and that doctrines, from time to time, may be debated and discussed and even changed.
We have biblical example of that happening early on in the Church, I am referring to the Jerusalem council or the apostolic council in Acts and Galatians.

That said, I am not sure why he is doing this BUT it may be due to the whole "gay marriage" issue that is getting out of hand and the high rate of divorce.

At least the Pope won't ever need a divorce attorney - least not anytime soon. And he'll never have to endure nagging: "Is white all you ever wear? Seriously, Francis, you should be more imaginative! And that BEANIE, don't even get me going on that!"
