Yeah, it is!Audie wrote:So atheism isnt a religion after all!:D
Actually there is a group with the like of P.Z Meyers, which actually say that atheism is a more than a "lack of belief" in God, its a movement, a philosophy and a way to live life. It should have communities, a group mentality and something which should bond these. And fortunately for him under the american religious law atheism is actually covered and defended the same as other religions. So there is a group of people out there which take atheism more than a lack of belief. And then there are people who don't think atheism is anything but a lack of belief. That trying to group atheists is like trying to make a herd of cats, its not possible.Audie wrote:So atheism isnt a religion after all!:D
sorry I brought it up, the whole "Atheism is a religion / takes more faith to be" etc discussion is very tiresome, and not one I care to get into.neo-x wrote:Actually there is a group with the like of P.Z Meyers, which actually say that atheism is a more than a "lack of belief" in God, its a movement, a philosophy and a way to live life. What do you think is the core of this issues, or these issues?neo-x wrote:It is Tiresome true. I think its just semantics and hardly goes deeper to the core of issues.
Any further thoughts on that?neo-x wrote:No, as far as I think, the core issue are why someone believes or doesn't believe in something. That is usually more interesting.
