Dad had stroke
Hi Everyone,
If you could say some prayers for my Dad.
He recently had a stroke. Had several stints many years ago.
This one seems quite serious as MRI shows it is cerebellum or brain stem, not sure fully myself yet.
They're doing more tests to see how they should go about treating it, but this one seems much more serious.
Thanks all!

Re: Dad had stroke
Absolutely K, I hope he makes a full recovery soon and that you are all in God's care.
1Tim1:15-17
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

Re: Dad had stroke
Your father is in our prayers, brother. God be with you and your family.
It would be a blessing if they missed the cairns and got lost on the way back. Or if
the Thing on the ice got them tonight.
I could only turn and stare in horror at the chief surgeon.
Death by starvation is a terrible thing, Goodsir, continued Stanley.
And with that we went below to the flame-flickering Darkness of the lower deck
and to a cold almost the equal of the Dante-esque Ninth Circle Arctic Night
without.

Will be praying for your Dad.

Re: Dad had stroke
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Re: Dad had stroke
Your Dad will be in my prayers.
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

Re: Dad had stroke
Thanks everyone.
I really feel like the prayers here make a difference at times.
To provide an update he seems to have recovered from the stroke.
He is now swallowing fine and talking alright (previously wasn't) and seems to be more with it.
Current doctors refuse to say whether it was a stroke because there's "nothing to be seen" -- mainly because the first hospital for some reason fabricated their reports.
Bit of a story to it, but by all accounts it was a stroke.
An artery in his neck has closed, but apparently not too much of an issue.
Thinking is that a clot may have come off which is the scary part.
But, he wasn't taking meds properly due to side effects.
More tests are still being done.
Hopefully he'll be alright.
But then, could just be a ticking time bomb before he is struck again. Especially if they don't pin the cause.
We all have our time, but hopefully he'll get to see my kids grow up for many more years.

Re: Dad had stroke
Well, he's back in hospital again.
Same symptoms as before difficulty swallowing.
This time he went straight to the better more specialised hospital.
Please pray we at least find out this time what is happening.
