Iran Nuke Talks

Post by Philip »

Probably a GOOD thing! http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05 ... ike-crash/

The current American president and his brain-dead liberal stooges have been hell-bent upon achieving a worthless agreement with Iran over its (supposedly peaceful/energy-related) nuclear program - one that wouldn't be worth the paper its written on. Their head religious leader (the real power behind the politicians of Iran) has recently stated that Iran will not allow inspection teams into the necessary places to monitor the compliance of any supposed deal. And the ONLY reason they even want a deal at all is merely to buy time to get their desired level of nuclear weapons capability. And King Obama has said that Iran's many statements that it intends to obliterate/annihilate/vanquish the very physical existence of Israel shouldn't be a hindrance to getting an agreement signed. :esurprised:  :esurprised:  Wow!

So: 1) WHAT, pray tell, does the world get out of such an agreement? 2) And how could you EVER trust the commitment of Iran to honor even the intent of such an agreement, much less its substance? How could you ever trust the leadership of a nation whose seething hatred and core beliefs have repeatedly affirmed their intention to destroy another sovereign nation, that denies its right to even exist? Their hatred is mostly due to religious beliefs and perceived historical understandings of Israel. The Iranians have made so many such bold statements, most interestingly, its recent pre-agreement defiance of honoring any actual monitoring by outside authorities. And they did this because they see Obama as spineless, weak and irrelevant - and those are just his "good" points :shakehead: . The current diplomatic moves by Obama and co are unbelievably stupid and dangerous.

I give Iran the benefit of doubt. I think we should trust them. The leaders of Iran seem like really nice people. I mean, what's the worst that could happen if we just take them at their word?

Philip,

You can be so cynical sometimes.

Yeah, SoCal... when I did that 'this is who I am" intro when I first came on here, I mentioned my initial introduction to Christ was through guys like Hal Lindsey (Late Great Planet Earth) and his schtick was a lot of doom and gloom that I do believe can happen, but have not taken as seriously as back in the late 70's... but i do remember this passage and they all leaned on it heavily for what is to be "prophesy" and although I don't listen too much to that sort of rhetoric now, I do still believe the possibility exist for biblical prophecy to transpire and possibly in our lifetimes.

"Blood will run up to the bridles of horses" prophecy is a long way from Christ's love and mercy. I do believe it is more important to prepare spiritually for the end times, but there is no denying the bible talks of horrendous things to come for mankind, and today's situation of "in place" prophetic world wide happenings appears ripe for the reading of these things to happen...

When I was in the navy, in the late 70's, the ongoing joke was... "What's flat and glows in the dark ?" ... Tehran, when we get our hostages back... not much has changed !
