Prayers for my Father-in-law

My father-in-law is sick but we don't really know what's going on yet. He has been unwell and was told last week that he had some blood work that indicated cancer along with some issues with his organs, in particular his spleen. The doctors thought that he had Hodgins lymphoma but that has been ruled out. He had more tests yesterday, a bone marrow biopsy as well as more blood tests. He has been told to go to the hospital on Friday with a packed bag so they can start on chemo asap, but they haven't diagnosed him yet with anything?
I'm really feeling for him, that must be so scary. I'm praying for him that it isn't anything serious and easily treatable. He is only 59 and never been seriously ill.
Just asking if you guys could say a prayer for him.
His name is Peter.

May Our Lord strengthen you and your family in this difficult time.
Cancer is always a frightful thing and I hope it is one of those that has a good survival rate.
Our Lord is always there for us, always there to strengthen us, all we have to do is ask.

We still don't know what's going on. He is undergoing more testing.
Praying for a good outcome and just being there and supporting my husband.

They have found what they believe to be a cancerous tumor in his shoulder. He is flying from Tasmania to Melbourne on Monday to have surgery. My mother-in-law is not coping too well. When he needs her the most she is finding it difficult to work through her grief. I pray God gives her strength and endurance so she can be by his side and support him throughout this. My husband spoke to his younger brother tonight, his my mum was unable to talk on the phone as she was too upset but my brother in law said that at this stage she was not flying to Melbourne for the surgery as she didn't think she would cope. I completely understand why she is so upset, they have been together for nearly 44 years since they were 16. She is scared. She is a nurse and has worked for many years in the cancer wards. You would think it would somewhat prepare her more but she has also seen a lot of death and struggles both with the patients and families.
My heart and prayers are going out to them. To my husband also.
Please keep Peter in your prayers and also Naomi my mother-in-law. They both need strength and God to get through this together. She needs to be there for him.
