Job on the line

Hello. Could I kindly request that you pray for me next Thursday. I am head of department at my school and one of my staff made a big mistake in the marking of a unit for a GCSE. The moderators sent it back and I had to remark the whole thing. However because I am the Head I should have checked her marking. My mistake was that I trusted her as he had more experience than me in this unit. When I remarked the grades dropped and I am now up for a formal disciplinary interview this Thursday where one I three things could happen. 1 - oral warning, 2 written warning, or 3 - dismissal. I am not asking that blame that I deserve be taken away from me but that the senior team will see all the good that I have done for the school and take that into account and not see it as grounds for dismissal as it was an honest mistake. Thank you very much

I'll pray for you silver. I believe they would recognize that it was an honest mistake. It happens to the best of us.

Seems like a mistake that could've happened to anyone.

I pray that they see that, and act accordingly.

I will pray Silver.
This reminds me our Communication trainig we had once in our company.
We hade case study and were supposed to tell what we would do in such and such a case.
Important is how one behaves. That it is like in the foootball. After doing the foul if player is rude he gets a red card. If he behaves nicely, honestly, apologizes and so on he gets a yellow card.

Silver, I will definitely lift you up. Have confidence in the REAL Authority Who is over those who will judge you - and you are HIS!

It has been a bad couple of weeks. Not really dealing with it very well. Had a few breakdowns as I let things get on top of me. The meeting is on Thursday and i have found out that they are not going to fire me - which is something. Just feel that I am taking a lot of rubbish for something that was not ultimately my fault. Basically I am now looking to get out of teaching because it is not the same as it use to be and the stress is starting to affect my health.

Thank you for asking.

I am sorry to know this. I do think you should take time off if its stressing you much. Other than that I'd say take it on the chin and move on (easier said than done I know). But I think you can do that.

I'd still pray for you and hope you take this burden off of you. I humbly remember a phrase for you, I read once "Pray, and let God worry".

Hi Guys. Thanks for asking and sorry I did not get back to you until now. But yes it is all fine. Had the meeting and they reduced it to an oral warning. But one thing they did say was that they held me in high regard for all the work I had done in my department and for the school. So it ended on a real positive note. Time to put this episode all behind me. Thank you all for your prayers. God has definitely got my back on this one.

Silver, glad for the outcome - best could be expected, I suppose. None of us like to be called on the carpet, and none of us aren't prone to making mistakes. But one thing is for sure: If you suit up and get in the game, that clean uniform is eventually gonna get muddy and a few rips, here and there. My corporate career was filled with things that were unfair, sometimes making me very upset. And when you're doing the best you can, with good intentions, it really hurts to have seemingly unwarranted or petty attacks - when the vast majority of your contribution is exemplarary. Guess such situations are just another day on Planet Mirth!
