Interesting article about children, infants and their natural belief in God

Hey everyone to help balance out the negativity of my other thread from earlier I will now give another one of my useless and futile attempts to help people learn stuff and hopefully improve their skills in apologetics and their belief in God.

This nice article is from another one of my favorite apologists Glenn Andrew Peoples out of New Zealand. Since he is a theistic evolutionist and a believer in the concept of soul sleep, at least until the resurrection of the dead, he should immediately strike many of you as a good authority on apologetics, theology as well as science.

This article of his talks about how unlike the claims of many atheists who say that people are naturally born atheists, other scientific studies show otherwise, that children regardless if they were taught about religion or not seem to in most cases etched in their nature and can't just be dismissed as a product of indoctrination.

Here is the link to the article if you want to learn more about it. Thanks.

Firstly, your attempts are not futile, I for one, enjoy reading them so there!

As for this one, I haven`t read this article yet but will do soon, just thought I`d add my thoughts before I read it.

I have a ten year old daughter. We chat sometimes about life, and God, the usual things. She absolutely believes in God. Without any prompting from me. We haven`t talked about her beliefs yet, as she says she believes in God but she isn`t ready to talk about it yet.

So yeah, I think kids are born with an ability and desire to believe. I think it just gets drummed out of them.

Thanks for the article I did not know about him and I agree with the link you posted.I definitely believe in indoctrination and that those accusing Christians of indoctrinating their children are doing the indoctrination, even when it comes to science. Now I would disagree with him about soul sleep until the resurrection but I have learned through the years how to accept the good info and reject the bad info, regardless of what you might be researching or reading.I had an old friend and he taught it to me because we use to discuss bible prophecy.

Yes, I've always responded with this line of thought when Atheists claim a default position.
More than not, it seems we're wired to believe in God and meaning. Children appear to evidence this.
People throughout history at all times in every location appear to evidence this.

It's fun throwing this article at someone who identifies as an Atheists to wind them up a little.
