I guess if you believe in the necessity of being saved and you've done what the Bible says to do to be saved, which is to believe in Jesus, you have the basics right, even if other things are off track - so you're saved even if others see that as questionable.

Feeling like I want to kick my dog, goes a little ways back. If you want to understand my frustration, you can start reading here. You'll see from jpbg's posts, why it's so frustrating.

Some people think they are saved with out Jesus and some people think they are saved when they are stile doing thing the bible says saved people will not do. that is what this post is about. not saved people

anyways Jesus has already answered that question for me .

He said that everyone that cries Lord Lord are not going to go to heaven.

So I am asking this question to see what the people on the board think.

the reason is I was told it was the some thing as asking if osas is true.

I do not think it is the same thing as asking that so I wonted to know what everyone else thought

So can some think they are saved when they are not and is this the same as asking if osas is true.

1. yes people can think they are saved when they are not

2. No that is not the same thing as asking if osao is true. someone could think that they were saved that never was before.

Yes, is is possible for someone to think he is saved when he is not. I was in that state once. As a child I believed the Bible was true but I didn't get a lot of accurate instruction about what it teaches. I believed that a person must be born again by being baptized in water and then do good works to maintain his salvation. I learned the truth about salvation by listening to a radio program called Back to the Bible and as a result I put my faith in Christ and was really saved.

This is not the same thing as "once saved,always saved." Back to the Bible taught that a saved person can't lose his salvation but for a long time I wasn't convinced this was true. Here is how I finally became convinced that I was in no danger of losing my salvation:

I've watched american idol auditions.

Obviously there are going be some who think they saved but are not - only God can make that call tho, not man
