Lets spread some christmas cheer

What makes you happy and joyful?

For me..

- When kerry comes home with a suprise little gift e.g chocolate or good coffee
- going out to a cafe with a friend for coffee or wine and having deep & meaningful conversation
- online messaging
- hugs from Micah especially
- A really good movie or book.

Oh and people responding to my threads ;)

I'm already joyful! What makes me happy:

1. a candlelit supper & wine, with my wife
2. travelling to/exploring/living in unusual places with my wife
3. operating complex machines
4. building/fixing stuff
5. donating to causes that move me
6. scotch from Islay

...pretty much in that order.

This is an interesting thread to get to know people better.

My Family.

Hmmm...you don't seem to understand the difference between joy and happy. You may want to do a word search in a concordance. Then come back and re-write your list.

As it is, you sound like you are holed up in a monastery.

Why did you seriously shorten your post? Did you have second thoughts? I wasn't going to answer all your colorful questions anyway.

Islay is an island off the western coast of Scotland that makes unusual and expensive scotch. To get drunk on Islay scotch, you must be either rich or stupid, or both.

:fyi:

I guess if you weren't interested in them anyway then it doesn't really matter now does it? :P
If you must know, I over think too much and get insecure about what I write.

It was a joke - rather like one rick would make ;)
I worked with a female called "Islay" once.

Don't be insecure. It is useless. For what it's worth, I found your questions and comments funny. Too bad you edited them out! Your posts are amusing.

I assume that the «female» named Islay you worked with was a woman? Why don't you say, «I worked with a woman called "Islay" once»? Dogs and cats are female, girls and women are ...girls and women.

:D

More stuff that makes me happy...

Walking in the rain.
Wind (the weather type not the eating too many sprouts type)
Snuggling with my daughter.
Laughing.
Singing (unfortunately my happiness on these occasions is slightly marred by the unhappiness of those around me when I sing  )
Long hot bubble baths without the dog or cat jumping in.

People making me smile and laugh when I feel sad
