HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Just in case I don`t get on over my break, I`m off work from today until the 4th Jan so I have posted this early.

It`s been an absolute delight to have found this forum and all of you in it (on it?)

Looks like Maine is having spring weather as well - not their usual huge snowdrifts. y:-?

Landed in Portland, ME one spring, 25 years back, looked like Siberia! We couldn't see the runway, covered in ice and snow, 10 foot piles all around it. I thought that plane would never stop before running off the end of the glacier. Er, I mean, runway.

ESSENTIALLY, as a Southerner, I have to say that the words "ice" and "fishing" should never be used in the same sentence. :pound:

Yeah, that's a GREAT idea! Just bring the beer, no cooler or ice necessary.

Or, maybe NOT!

Philip, i'm telling you, except for Curley "jumping" in the lake, i have seen both the other pics. the guy on the auger that i saw looked more like a propeller, on his stomach being spun... and i'd rather not say how many fisherman went out too early and sunk their rides... and you would not imagine how expensive it is to retrieve ... especially in a state as conservation conscience as Maine ...

I have to say that the words "ice" and "fishing" should never be used in the same sentence. :pound:
no argument there brother ... none, but the other 8-1/2 to 9 months are worth the wait. :D

camp's a lot different in the summer than it is in the winter y/:] but either season, these ... stay cold !
