Would appreciate your prayers this week.

Post by Philip »

Having some surgery Wednesday morning, and would greatly appreciate your prayers. Getting a hernia repaired. Hopefully, I'll bounce back to normal activities quickly.

Thanks, guys!

Prayers for you. At your age, even a hernia operation can be traumatic.

Hey, Ricardo, maybe you could give me some pointers on milking my recovery time for all sandwiches and beer I desire? Do you like have a buzzer or some kind of bell that you use to bring your wife running to cater to your every whim? :pound:

Tell me, does yours look like this?

One ring for one beer, 2x for two, 3x for the whole six pack!

Actually Philip,

That doesn't fly with my wife. She endures constant physical pain daily, from an auto accident she was in a long time ago. I can't fake pain with her. She just gives me the evil eye.

She sees a chiropractor monthly. That helps. She gets migraines, back pain, and muscle pain, all because her spine gets out of whack. If she consistently see the chiropractor, without missing a month, she's ok. It's manageable.

It's just something she's learned to live with for 30 years.

You were asking if there's anything that can be done about the pain, right?

Because, if you were asking if there's anything that can be done about her giving me the evil eye, then no. That's something I've learned to live with for the last 22 years.

If you had a hernia removed, technically that counts towards your weight loss goal, right? y:-?

Thanks for your prayers, everyone! Was a VERY long day. Hernia repair went well, but had complications being able to go to the bathroom, so I had to get catherized - one of my worst fears - and TWICE! The first time under anesthesia, the second time was "old school" - grin and bare it (actually, almost like scream and bare it). Getting it out in the mornng, Lord willing. I probably waited too long to do it, and that made the hernia more complicated and bigger. It's an iguinal hernia - right down "there." Thankfully, the repair was able to be done with with a labroscope. And, so far, have not taken any narcotics, hoping to stick with Tylenol!

Appreciate everyone checking on me!
