That's a great example of why most people don't take the religious right seriously.

Re: Laws Targeting...
I'd like to state, that it shouldn't be simply based upon "religion", but also true objections of anyone where there is reasonable grounds for conscientious objection.
Say the owners of this pharmacy were non-Christian, irreligious, and still strongly objected to provide abortifacients, the rights of such too also ought to be protected! As Martin Luther King said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
Ed, I'm not sure what your comments mean exactly. Nonetheless, I'd think you ought to get behind this if you are truly Libertarian, and not just libertarian so long as one capitulates to your own views and positions.

Re: Laws Targeting...
I wouldn't expect most here to take me seriously. I'm the fly in the ointment. B.W. posted a biased article from a biased source with a hyperbolic headline designed to inflame emotions, and I expect that many here are more inclined to let their emotions loose than to look critically at the issue.RickD wrote:And this comment is why most people here, don't take you seriously.edwardmurphy wrote:That's a great example of why most people don't take the religious right seriously.
There was a strong message in my comment for anyone willing to see it. I've seen dozens of stories like that one posted here, and what they all have in common is that they're blatantly biased, hyperbolic, dishonest, and laden with strident emotional appeals. Over the last few years I've observed that religious right activists are far more concerned with getting their way than they are with truth, or fairness, or compromise. I'm constantly hearing about how the Pledge of Allegiance has been banned in schools (which is a lie), or Christians have had all of their rights stripped away and given to Muslims (which is a comically obvious lie), or that liberals are scheming to allow Sharia law into the United States (which is the kind of lie that makes people wonder if the liar is off his meds). Lying to generate outrage might play well with the base, but the rest of us think it's silly.
If the religious right wants to be taken seriously then they need to be serious.

We will fight back by whatever means in order to restore to the USA common sense. The left does not like it but we will fight and die if necessary as that is how bad things have become due to the socialist globalist agenda of the left in demonizing good people as evil dweebs.
Obama Will Need His Oratory Powers to Sell Globalization
If you like your Doctor you can keep him Really? High rates with high premiums with large unaffordable copays... everything Obama has said is wrong and puts the US on a wrong course... worst health care system now than I ever have seen before. Stressed out doctors, deliberate delays in diagnosis, sticker shock at the copay... and rates ie tax will increase 2017. Oh the irony of stupidity of leftist idealist...

Fascism is nationalistic and therefore right wing, Obama and Clinton are indeed centrists (a fact which is recognized everywhere but places like this), and B.W., if you're arguing that yours is the side of the righteous then you might not want to use "the lefties do it too" to justify their lies.

Re: Laws Targeting...
The wings deal with a variety of things. One of those things is nationalism (right wing) versus communism (left wing). Fascism is nationalistic rather than communistic (the "socialist" part in "National Socialism" is a misnomer, much like the words "democratic" and "republic" in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea), so it belongs on the right.
