Just....meh!

Post by Storyteller »

Last few days/weeks have been pretty intense. Think im hitting a lull now. I just feel kinda, well, meh.

Lately, my walk with our Lord has been so full on, now maybe its take a breather time. This is what happens, a few hours, days, weeks of feeling so closely bonded with Him, then almost like a distance. Its kinda like im a sponge absorbing it all and i hit a point where im saturated.

One thing I have noticed is that each time, that distance is closing. im retaining so much grace (for want of a better word)

Its weird adjusting to the tide of emotions and love.

Hard to explain, really, what I mean.

But its all good :)

I really do love and worship God, I am enthralled byhis wooing.

Feeling "meh" isn't as bad as I feel.

You know that feeling you get when you walk to the top of a flight of stairs, and you think there's one more step? I feel like that all the time.

No. That feeling you feel when you take a step that isn't there? I feel like that.

Or to put it another way...I'm in a constant state of simultaneous deja vu and amnesia.

You know how it is when you're reading a book and falling asleep, you're reading, reading...and all of a sudden you notice your eyes are closed? I'm like that all the time.

That's interesting. I can't say I've felt like that much at all - the intense part, I mean. It's more worldly things that tend to get me going emotionally. I find it hard to feel much for someone I can't see, hear or otherwise sense. I know we can hear from God through his word, but still...

Like when I was at the supermarket the other day and this man gave me this lovely smile, and I felt amazing. That was one of those worldly things. I don't think I smiled back the same way, unfortunately - I was a bit surprised - but it sure was nice.

Just this past week I was thinking I hit a plateau after being on fairly fast learning curve for a year. So I started searching around for new sources of information and inspiration.

Came across a ton of short learning videos by Ryan Reeves on YouTube, some which cover stuff or people I didn't know. Good refresher on other topics or at least a bit different perspective.
If the truth hurts, maybe it should.
