Although I would never intentionally drink water from a swimming pool while swimming there is so much water in a pool that it would be diluted because of so much water.There is a myth that too much chlorine burns your eyes but this is a myth,the fact is that if your eyes are burning the PH in the pool is too acid which burns your eyes.You should test the water and add pool baking soda to the pool probably about 15-20 lbs of baking soda.You would have to put a ridiculous amount of chlorine in a pool to actually hurt someone,far more than what is used unless they are allergic to chlorine.It might bleach your hair or clothes but too much chlorine won't hurt you.It is diluted because of so much water in a pool.It is better to have a chlorine level on the high side than low side.Your pool will stay clearer and cleaner especially in the summer.B.
