God, baseball, and the Twilight Zone

Post by ultimate777 »

I had an idea for a Twilight Zone-like thingie about baseball. Take a guy like Casey Stengel right after the Yankees fire him.
He gets a job managing a team like the 1962 Mets. One night before the season starts he gets struck by lightning.

Something strange happens. He can tell just before every plate appearance where the other team will hit a fair ball IF they do.
Not that they always will. They could strike out, walk, or even be intentionally walked. I think that might turn a team that would otherwise be 40-120 to one that's 120-40. You could always play fielders in the right place and intentionally walk them if they would hit the ball somewhere you don't like.

If an opposition player walks or strikes out maybe there is no such thing as where they would have hit a fair ball.

Do you think God would know?

God's not a baseball fan.

God's not a baseball fan.
That is because, USUALLY, it's very boring!

It's only boring to those who don't understand the game.

God told Ted Cruz's father that basketball went down the crapper after Larry, Magic, and Michael retired.

Oh yes, I forgot about him. He's on the same team as Pistol Pete, and George Mikan.

There's also Steph Curry, Russel Westbrook, and Kevin Love.
