Louis Farrakhan's Jesus

Post by Philip »

Just like many of the cults, Farrakhan is attempting to leverage the Jesus of history, per substituting his false version as to WHICH Jesus he embraces.

Maybe it's like in American Gods, where every cult and culture gets their own Jesus. Maybe Farrakhan's Jesus is different than other people's Jesuses. Ever think of that, Phil?

Ed, what is your point? Mine is simply that Farrakhan is using false "Christian" speak to allude to belief in Jesus - but he's not referencing a personal belief in the Jesus of Scripture. Very simple. If a religion speaks of "belief in Jesus," and yet that is articulated to not be the Jesus of the Bible, then it's a cult - per classical Christian belief. Farrakhan is a Black Muslim, but he's tailoring his verbiage to draw blacks who self-identify or have interest in Christianity. Also, one could reference the actual Jesus of Scripture, as well as accurately reference Him as He is recorded in it, but yet still not believe He was/is God. So, while the reference would be correct, it wouldn't make someone a Christian who merely believes only that Jesus was nothing more than a mere historical figure, but not God. Having a committed and acknowledged faith that Jesus is God, that one recognizes Him as their Lord - THAT is a Christian. So, Farrakhan and others like him are being deceptive.

Agreed - but I took a multi-hour nap yesterday. But what's your excuse? :P
