"Completely human" is redundant.

A human from the moment of conception(fertilization), is human.

There's really no other logical way to draw a line after conception, to say when someone crosses the line from not being human, to being human.

Saying an unborn baby isn't fully human, and only a potential life because its brain isn't fully developed, is ridiculous. Science has shown that the human brain isn't fully developed until the person is in his 20's.

And anyone who has been pregnant, or felt a baby moving in a pregnant woman, knows that there is a life inside, not a potential life.

Maybe a valid comparison would be a sperm cell(seed) fertilizing an egg. Then we have a "tree".

The biological process is the same. A seed becomes a tree. A seed becomes human. The question is at what point would you consider the seed to be not a seed anymore. I say when it has grown to a point where it can behave as a tree. And my logic is the same with the human seed as well. At a time when it has formed enough to be called human that it has main organs formerd and has a brain is when it is no longer a seed.

You however are insistent that there is no difference. That the seed is a human being or aptly that the seed is the tree. You dismiss its actual state which has potential but is not a human being at that point.

The link I posted on the abortion thread covers this. The sperm and the egg are seperate things that join to create something new, and seperate from, themselves.

I suppose if you consider the male+femaile gamates as seed, then once they come together to form a new organism we call a zygote, that is when human life is conceived. That's what I read in biology textbooks anyway.
