Doing family day care, it was suggested to us to ask a toddler before checking their nappy (someone said, 'what if they say no?' to which there was no answer
); I would always talk to the child at least and tell them what I was going to do. There was quite a lack of common sense in the video though; I kind of liked the idea of asking a baby even though they're not going to respond yet, to model seeking consent, but then as someone said on there, what if they get to toddlerhood and keep saying no, and you then have to do it without consent? Talking to them about everything is good though.

Maybe the babies will start having to ask for consent to poo, the parents have rights too

There would be alot of sore butts I imagine if it's left to the toddler. Then the parent would be hit with neglect I guess ..

You've heard of a disposable diaper/nappy?
Maybe we could try a disposable baby. Whenever the little bugger poops himself, we just toss him in the trash. But if we need to get the child's consent for that, then I guess we're back to square one.

Maybe he had the gun in case the baby didn't give consent.
