So, where's the global warming???

Well, it's not in Australia - where they have good early season snow at the Snowy Mountains resorts:

And in sunny California - they still have a crazy amount of snow on the ground from this past season:

The top of Mammoth Mountain, CA has TONS of snow - they will be skiing there until mid-August - and maybe longer. And the crazy thing is, they usually get their first snows there in mid-September. So this still-ongoing ski season will have lasted 10 months.

This photo below is from the Mammoth webcam this morning. Note that the sign in the photos is 18.5 feet high - so there is about 16 feet of snow still on top, with good skiing most of the way down the mountain. Up top, they received 718 inches this season!

Al Gore hates Mammoth!

No GW, except in miserable places like Florida (where it's always been) - where the state bird is the mosquito and a quarter of the land is swamp!

It's definitely global warming. It's usually only in the mid 90's this time of year.

Seriously, we just had a run of that mid-90s stuff - about 8 days of misery. It's very dry here right now - in early drought. But it looks like the rain is returning. We had record rain in the spring; creeks looked like rivers. Now they are almost dried up. But where I am, high valley surrounded by woods, it runs 8-10 degrees cooler than Columbia (which is a furnace this time of year). The reality is, I am a GW skeptic who believes in (continuous) climate change. Ten years of California drought, and now it's wet again, with the snow-pack still 200% of what it normally would be in the high country.

Hell is everywhere south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Sacré bleu!

Hell is in Michigan. Which is north of the Mason-Dixon line.

You French people aren't too bright, are you?

French people? Anyway, Paris is in Texas. I’ve been there but didn’t see that famous French tower.

Well, we had a reeeally long summer in Western Australia. Still having to use the air-conditioning in late April is a bit much.

I'd take your hot, dry summer over our hot humid summer weather that lasts 6 months.
