How would you answer this question from a Muslim?

There is an unsolved problem of the Trinity; if Jesus died on the cross, was Jesus-the man or Jesus-the-God that died on the cross? If Jesus-the-man died, then Jesus-the-man could not save others, since "every man is to die for HIS OWN sin" according to God in 2 Kings 14:6. If, on the other hand, Jesus-the-God died, then we have an impossibility since God can't die.
Thank you.

Jesus was BOTH!

First place EVERY other man had sin - Jesus was sinless!
Christian2: If, on the other hand, Jesus-the-God died, then we have an impossibility since God can't die.
God is Spirit - and correct, He can never die. So what DID die? His human body. But Jesus was also fully God.

I’ll just add that what was resurrected was Jesus’ human body, now glorified.
But your Muslim won’t understand any of this. Ask him to read the Bible and suggest he pray to Jesus for enlightenment.
