Theologian Wayne Grudem on Trump

Post by Philip »

This was just pre-election, but here Grudem addresses the ethical question about whether "voting for the lesser evil" can sometimes be justified: https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/trump ... id/741334/

One thing he brings up is the Supreme Court picks - and it reminds me of just how bad an idea it is for a nation to be locked in for life with court picks. There should be a turnover - not sure what a reasonable term would be. But if we limit presidents to just two terms, surely we shouldn't have justices put forward by ANY administration to have a life-long appointment!

For those whom don't know, Grudem has held the presidency of the Evangelical Theological Society and served as the general editor of the ESV Study Bible.
