Conspiracy Theories and Christian Thinking

Man, what a messed up world we live in! We know that the powerful often will do anything to retain their power and wealth. We know that many governments and entities within in it have had secret plans, plots and agendas. We know that there most certainly is misinformation all over ("fake news"). So many books, media outlets, authors, websites, and blogs are streaming out supposed insights that assert to make sense of these many strange and mysterious things. And so with all of this chatter and competing info tangling our brains, how can Christians better process what they are hearing? How can we spot lies and false claims? How can we know what we don't know, with any degree of certainty?

Here's a good commentary and practical advice on how to rationally approach such things, from Hugh Ross' Reasons.org's senior research scholar, Ken Samples, with some practical approaches to better sifting through this web of such theories: https://reasons.org/explore/publication ... y-theories
