While Dr. Heiser died in February 2023, his influence remains incredibly strong. He opened up to a lot of people the world of the Bible in its original, ancient Near Eastern context - in ways you never heard growing up in church. He was also keenly interested in phenomona like UFOs, the occult, the demonic, etc., as many cults and groups involved in such things tried to attach a theology to their cult teachings and beliefs, and he was keen to expose their false assertions. There is also a supernatural element to the Bible that he exposed. He tried to let the text speak for itself, in its original contexts and cultures. Whether you agreed with him or not, he always challenged what you thought you knew about the Bible and made you think much deeper about it.
