Today, no ORIGINAL manuscripts written by the New Testament's original writers are known to still exist. Why? Because they were written on time-worn and fragile, early paper (papyrus). HOWEVER, a MASSIVE number of copies of those originals still exist. And so, you might ask, why does THAT matter? And how does it allow scholars and manuscript specialists to discern what was in the originals? As well, ARE today's best translations of the New Testament accurate as to the originals written in the first century by it's writers? Are these manuscript copies RELIABLE? Why does the massive number of ancient manuscript copies of the New Testament reveal?

NO ancient literary work has anywhere close to the level and extent of documentation or such an abundance of old copies as the New Testament does. And yet, there ARE differences in the old manuscripts we have of it. Learn why the differences / "variants" of the New Testament HELP us to know, with great confidence, the contents of its original manuscripts.

And what about atheist scholar Bart Ehrman - what has he said about this issue? Listen as Dr. Frank Turek explains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DB18or8bJ10

And compare the number of manuscript copies - AND, particularly, the time difference between the originals when they were copied, between the other best documented ancient literary works with those of the New Testament - it's not even close, and yet few scholars would question, say, the writings of Homer, etc, see below:

Old ancient writing manuscript copies in existence, compared to when the originals were written, and vs. the same with the New Testament:
