Many may not realize that the late Dr. Michael Heiser believed that the actual birth date of Jesus of Nazareth was Sept. 11, 3 BC. Crazy, right? No, this has nothing to do with the crazy, modern, 9-11 conspiracy stuff. As Heiser actually gives scholarly reasons why he considered this to be a very plausible and correct date for the birth of Christ. The actual time of Jesus' birth has long been an interesting scholarly debate, partly based upon the Bible, but also very much upon getting the correct date for the time of King Herod's death - and the long-accepted date for Herod has significant problems.
