IS IT TRUE what people often say and believe - that "GOOD" people go to Heaven, and "BAD" people go the Hell?

PLEASE NOTE: In NO way is this post meant politically. It's only posted to illustrate and draw attention to a very dangerous belief about Heaven and God that vast millions of people unfortunately believe. And this false belief is held by people of EVERY political, religious self-identification, race, ethnicity, gender (or gender SELF-identification), or nationality. And this false belief is the totally unBiblical understanding that people get to Heaven by being GOOD enough - the thinking that if they do more good than bad, God will allow them into His Heaven. People think that if they do lots of good stuff - or what the Bible calls good "works" - that they go to church (whether regularly or rarely), that they try to treat people well, or give to charity, or feed the poor, ETC - that those are people that go to Heaven. Related to this belief is the one that thinks ALL religions are equal pathways to God. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT THE BIBLE PROLIFICALLY TEACHES ON THIS!!!

In the BIBLE, Jesus and all of His Apostles redundantly teach the same / following things:

. NO one goes to Heaven without submitting / committing themselves to Jesus and receiving them as THEIR Lord and Savior. They must also turn from their sinful ways and desiring things God says are wrong, and instead, embrace Jesus and His ways (Who is also FULLY God, as are the Father and Holy Spirit).

. You must be forgiven of your sins (ALL of them) - and that comes through faith and commitment to Jesus, acknowledging your sins, and asking for forgiveness.

. You can NOT do enough good things to become acceptable to God - and the Bible says NO one can. But God saves and forgives all who embrace Jesus as THEIR Lord! Scripture teaches that a man becomes acceptable to God ONLY by receiving Jesus Christ - and NOT by ANY good they do - although, those who truly have faith in Christ will also receive His Holy Spirit and do much good and spread much love.

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

. There is only ONE God of three Persons (Father, Son / Jesus, Holy Spirit)

. And this is eternal life, that they know you the ONLY true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. (John 17:3)

And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? NO one is good except God alone. (Mark 10:18)

The Bible says that ALL people EVERYWHERE have sinned and must be forgiven of them all to enter Heaven, to be with the Lord FOREVER - and that forgiveness ONLY comes through receiving Jesus. And so, Jesus' death and resurrection after His horrific sufferings on the Cross are applied to the debt we owe for our sins (but that God says WE cannot pay / ONLY Jesus can), thus erasing our guilt from them. While perhaps difficult to understand, God required a perfect and sinless sacrifice (which was Jesus!), as His willingness to go to His death on the Cross made it possible for us to be forgiven and allows us to go to Heaven - BUT ONLY FOR those who commit themselves in heart and mind to receiving and following Jesus. Forgiveness does NOT mean you won't still sin, but what it does mean is: God doesn't want you to sin anymore and the more we depend upon Him, the more we can avoid and resist sin. but if we DO sin, we're forgiven and no longer held accountable for it - because by accepting Jesus and His sacrifice upon the Cross, CHRISTIANS are forgiven of ALL of their PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE sins!

The Bible also says that ALL - and ONLY - those who have done the following will go the Heaven!

For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. (Romans 3: 22 - 25)

. Unless you repent, you too will all perish" (Luke 13:3)

. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out" (Acts 3:19)

. Repentance leads to salvation" (2 Corinthians 7:10)

The Bible teaches that ALL persons who have NOT yet submitted and committed to Jesus in faith are still rebels against Him, and if they fail to have faith / submit and commit before they die, they will go to Hell, which is a place of terrible punishment and separation from God and His eternal blessings and unfathomable joy. There will be NO rebels in Heaven!

HOW one is saved and becomes acceptable to God to enter Heaven?

Because IF you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (Romans 10:9-10)

Note, that in Romans 10:9, confessing and receiving Jesus is NOT a matter of some magic prayer - it's a matter of the HEART and MIND - of truly believing what one has confessed to Jesus / God, that you believe Him to be God, Son of the Father, and that He was crucified and rose physically from the dead (note, Jesus is ETERNAL - as He has FOREVER lived, but took on Humanity by being born as a baby, in order to come here to teach us what God requires of us, how He wants us to live, and to save all who will receive Him as their Lord.

Also note, mere BELIEF in Jesus - or even in who He is (God / the Son of God) - DOES NOT SAVE A PERSON - because the Bible tells us that even the Devil and his demonic followers believe who Jesus is:
You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! (James 2:19)

Before Jesus cast out some demons, one of them said to Him: And behold, they cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?” (Matthew 8:29)

So, it is ONLY those who have TRULY submitted and committed belief in and to Jesus, in both their words to Him and in their hearts and minds, AS THEIR LORD and God, that God saves - and NO others!
