The death and subsequent Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is one many people doubt. But, these same people often have no issues with narratives related to other historical figures from antiquity. Most fail to realize that the evidences for the Crucifixion and return to life of Jesus of Nazareth is not only well documented, but the evidence and testimony for it is plentiful dated VERY early after the Resurrection - THE event that changed the world! This means that the belief that Jesus was Resurrected AND was (and IS!) God Himself did NOT develop over a LONG period of time, but that, VERY soon after the Resurrection, He was being proclaimed and worshiped as God, with a great number of witnesses having seen, heard and talked to Him over the immediate period after His Resurrection, and in various locations. Additionally, there are a number of corroborating evidences about Jesus that come from OUTSIDE of the Bible.
Note, that Jesus' arrival in the world as the promised Messiah was not only prophesied by many Old Testament prophets, with VERY specific teaching and details that He would fulfill, but Jesus Himself also forecast that He would be killed, rise again, AND promised that He will be returning for His followers at the end of the present age. So, why has the world been transformed by the incredible teachings of this obscure man - that even atheists and agnostics marvel at. As He was born, lived, and conducted His ministry in a tiny, insignificant region, along the outskirts of the vast Roman empire. The world even marks time itself (B.C. / A.D.) by His birth - this homeless, wandering rabbi who the religious establishment despised, to the point that it conspired to have Him executed. And why would so many, despite fierce persecution, the risk of beatings - and even the threat of death - begin to believe and proclaim that He was and is exactly who He said He is: Jesus / God, the long-prophesied Messiah.
