No, actually, there is no majority party - ie: no party that has over half the seats in the House of Commons. It's much like your House of Representatives, except with 4 major parties you can get them all below 50%. In that case, multiple parties must work together to pass laws. In this case the socialist/communist NDP party teamed up with the usually immoral/corrupt Liberals... Both our countries are federalist, but many Western countries, including Canada, have parliamentary governments.
